Harbhajan Singh is fired up to represent Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

The veteran off-spinner, having spent all ten previous seasons of the T20 extravaganza at Mumbai Indians (MI), was bought by CSK for Rs 2 crore during the IPL Auction last month.

Speaking about the opportunity to share the dressing room with former India teammate Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Harbhajan said that he feels great to be in the same team as the legendary skipper.

"It is always a great feeling to play along with MS Dhoni. I'm looking forward to working with him again towards a common goal - this time to win the trophy for the Chennai Super Kings," Harbhajan Singh was quoted as saying by chennaisuperkings.com.

"He (Dhoni) understands the game really well, is street-smart and thinks ahead of the game and I feel that's very important for a captain, especially in T20. That's what makes him a great skipper," added Bhajji.

Speaking to The Times of India just after being picked by CSK in the auction last month, Harbhajan had expressed immense happiness at reuniting with MSD. The duo has won two World Cups for India playing together, but Bhajji was also dropped from the national side when Mahi was still the captain.

"Dhoni is calm, composed and he and has a sensible head on his shoulders. I am looking forward to reuniting with him, if not for the blue of India, at least the yellow of CSK," Harbhajan had said.

Bhajji also expressed no hard feelings for MI, with whom he had shared such a long association. He said the reigning IPL champs' decision to part ways didn't come as a surprise to him.

"Well, for 10 years I was part of that team and time simply flew. It doesn't matter if I was surprised or not, every team has its own planning and they went about their job. They clearly told me about what they felt about player retention and I have no hard feelings, I respect their decision," said Harbhajan.

"They are looking to build the team for the future and I am thankful to MI for the brilliant 10 years and the five trophies (three IPLs and two Champions League titles) that I won with them. But now it's time to move ahead and you cannot get a better team than CSK."
