Prime Minister-desginate Narendra Modi will ensure that Bharat Ratna awards will be awarded to four eminent personalities including Subhash Chandra Bose, Madan Mohan Malviya, Major Dhyanchand and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Modi, while filing his nomination papers from Varanasi, had visited the statute of Madan Mohan Malviya and paid tribute to him. Modi often refers to Vajpayee in his speeches, and recently became emotional and became teary eyed at his speech in Central Hall.
Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian awarded to any citizen by the republic of India.
