Zee Media will celebrate Maharana Pratap birth anniv as Shaurya Diwas: Dr Subhash Chandra

Rajya Sabha member and Essel Group Chairman Dr Subhash Chandra is on a visit to Udaipur. On the first day of his visit on Saturday, Dr Chandra made several important announcements while paying floral tributes at the samadhi of Maharana Pratap on Saturday. He also addressed a gathering at the event and said that Zee Media will celebrate Maharana Pratap Jayanti as Shaurya Diwas.

The Group will organise Bhajan Sandhya every year on the occasion of Maharana Pratap's birth anniversary. Dr Chandra also announced that a horseback riding statue of the great king of Mewar would also be installed, and added that he would do his best to develop the Samadhi site into a tourist spot.

While maintaining that Maharana Pratap had not only fought wars to save the Hindu tradition, and that every youth and every strata of society takes inspiration from him, Dr Chandra also announced that a biography of the great king of Mewar will soon be published.

On the occasion, Dr Chandra added that although he is not capable of adopting Maharana Pratap's village, he will ensure development takes place. Dr Chandra will attend the Haldi Ghati Vijay Yudh Smriti function on Sunday.

Dr Chandra was warmly welcomed at Udaipur's Dabok airport. A huge crowd gathered to welcome him with garlands. He was accompanied by Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh. Enr oute to Chawand village in Sarada Tehsil of Udaipur district, Dr Chandra was welcomed at 12 places.
