"Kashmir will certainly be resolved. But you have to first acknowledge that a part of Kashmir is with Pakistan. And you have to acknowledge that you are not going to able to take it back. And Pakistan has to acknowledge there is no way they are going to take any more of the land. The path to resolution lies beyond this, " he said.
Speaking his mind, Abdullah said the country today is being divided on the basis of religion. "We rejected the two-nation theory and accepted the India of Gandhi, Nehru and Maulana Azad, but today the British policy of divide-and-rule is being used. "
He said infiltration from Pakistan will not stop till India and Pakistan start a dialogue to solve the problems. Maintaining calm, he answered questions even as some people got agitated accusing him of being soft on Pakistan.
Addressing one such question on what he thought of Pakistan or anti-nationalism as a bigger threat, the former J&K chief minister said, "Both are threats. We have to address both these threats.
