Woman police sub-inspector, daughter killed in mishap

A Punjab police woman sub-inspector and her daughter were today killed in a road mishap near Kotla Bajwara village here.

Sub Inspector Kulwant Kaur, who was posted at Sanjh Kender, Bassi Pathana and her daughter Jasmeet Kaur were on their way to pay obeisance at Dera Hansali on their scooter which was hit by a car, police said.

The car driver fled from the scene.

Jasmeet had just got engaged and her marriage was to be solemnized in October, police said.

Local police has registered a case and started investigation.
