Ridiculing Shiv Sena next generation leader and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray's statement that Shiv Sena would quit the Maharashtra government next year and would come to power on its own, senior Minister and BJP leader Chandrakant Patil said that the government will complete its five-year term. Currently BJP-Sena alliance is running government in the state. Patil also said that Sena will continue to be their alliance partner till the end of the term.

Addressing a public meeting at Ahmednagar on Thursday, Aaditya Thackeray had said that next year Sena would pull out of the Fadnavis government and come to power on its own. Aaditya had said, `The exact timing of pulling out of government would be decided by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.' Speaking to media persons outside Vidhan Bhavan, Patil said, `What I know is Shiv Sena would not pull out of government for five years.'

After much insistence on answering about the speculation that Narayan Rane will become minister by year-end, Patil said, 'Yes, it will happen.' Patil also said that post-Gujarat election results, he and CM Fadnavis will go to Delhi to discuss details about state cabinet expansion.
