WhatsApp argument turns ugly, husband attacked with sickle

An argument with your spouse about a WhatsApp chat could be injurious to health, at least in case of this couple. 

Late on Saturday night, Nitu Singh attacked her husband Netrapal Singh with a sickle after he took her phone to check her WhatsApp records.

According to a Times of India report, Netrapal said, "On Saturday, I saw my wife chatting with another man on WhatsApp. When I asked her to give me the phone, she refused and told me to stay away. Later, when I forcefully took her phone to see the chat details, Nitu attacked me with a sickle from behind and I fainted."

He was then rushed to SN Medical College in Bhilawali village in Kheragarh, Agra, where he received multiple stitches on his head.

The couple got married in 2014 but were living separately. Nitu had come to her in-law's place to attend a family function.

Netrapal's father has alleged that Nitu is having an affair with another man.

Meanwhile, an FIR has been filed against Nitu. However, on being taken into the custody, she claimed that Netrapal hit himself with a sickle to put her in trouble.
