In a shocking incident, reported from West Midnapore district of West Bengal, a lady was allegedly murdered for not agreeing to be part of a sex racket. This racket was run by none other than mother-in-law of the lady, who did it with full knowledge of her son.

The incident happened in Poralda village in Belda, West Midnapore, reports Zee 24 Ghanta. The deceased victim got married to Biswajit Giri, merely six months ago. It was an arranged marriage. Initially everything was fine. But within two months, the mother-in-law tried to force the lady to have sex with outsiders. This lead to resentment as the lady was unwilling to be part of the sex racket. She was coerced to have sex with other men. The lady's husband was  a mute spectator and never tried to stop this sordid affair.

Matters escalated on Monday, when the victim's husband, mother and father-in-law poured kerosene on her and set her on fire. The locals were aware of family feud in the Giri family, but had no clue that it could become fatal. They forcefully entered the house after listening to frantic cries of the victim. By the time, the lady was rescued, she had suffered 80% burns. She was transferred to Midnapore medical college from local hospital. However, the burns were too severe and the victim eventually lost her life.

The accused Giri family is currently absconding. Police is trying to trace them.
