WATCH: UP CM Yogi Adityanath visits cow shelter run by Aparna and Prateek Yadav in Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma visited a shelter for cows and stray animals run by Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Prateek Yadav and his wife Aparna in Lucknow.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma visited a shelter for cows and stray animals run by Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Prateek Yadav and his wife Aparna in Lucknow.

On Friday , the Yadavs took Adityanath around the premises of the shelter, which is run by their NGO Jeev Ashray.

Prateek and Aparna had earlier met Adityanath soon after he took over as the new UP CM. The couple had visited Adityanath at his residence at the VVIP Guest House. The meeting had lasted about 20 minutes. At the meeting, they reportedly spoke about cow protection.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had swept the recent UP assembly elections, winning 312 of the 403 seats. SP won just 47 seats, its ally Congress taking home only  7.

Aparna, who  had contestes on the SP ticket from the Lucknow Cantonment constituency, lost to  BJP’s Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

Aparna previously met Yogi Adityanath in 2014 after the death of Mahant Avaidyanath in Gorakhpur.
