The City Task Force of police has arrested two persons for allegedly taking bets on the ongoing Indian Premier League matches.

ACP I Chittibabu said that V Venkata Siva Hemanth (30) and N Bujji Raju (30) were arrested from MVP Colony last night.

Police seized a multi-level communicator equipment box (through which multiple phone conversations can be carried out simultaneously), mobile phones, a laptop, an LED tv and Rs 1.74 lakh in cash from them.

The duo were taking bets on last evening's T20 match between Rising Pune Supergiant and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

A few days ago, CTF had arrested four bookies who took bets on IPL matches in the city.
