Attacking National Commission for Minorities Chairman Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi over issue of starting a helpline number for Muslims, the VHP today alleged he was strengthening feelings of separatism in the Muslim community.

While informing about the decision to start a helpline number for Muslims, Rizvi had said that Muslims could give a call on the helpline number in case any atrocity is committed against them.

"This statement makes one feel that atrocities against the Muslim community have reached such proportions that the extreme step of opening a helpline for Muslims had to be taken up," Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international joint general secretary Surendra Jain said in a statement.

Jain further said that Pakistan and the separatists have been using this exact analogy to justify their anti-India activities.

"Now they have got one more man to advocate their cause.

The events unfolding in the entire world prove the point that the amount of rights that Muslims in India are enjoying cannot be matched by even the Muslims in Islamic states," Jain added.
