Hardik Patel, the 22-year-old who has been demanding reservations for Patels has become one of the most-talked about people in the country.
In a recently interview with India Today, he talked about various things including his belief that India should have US-style gun laws which he felt would help Indians fight crime. The youngster also said that he wanted to become Sardar Hardik Patel and be the real deal, not a statue.
He also criticised the Gujarat model which he claimed made the rich richer and poor poorer. He also talked about his idols – Bal Thackeray and Sardar Patel – saying he liked it when people called him Sardar Hardik. Here's how Twitter reacted to his claims:

Some found it the perfect moment for Some anti-Modi comments
Btw I'm not in agreement with Hardik Patel or his demands. But he is an indicator again that NaMo isn't as invincible as he's made out to be

When Mulayam seemed like a better option.
India: "We want younger politicians." Hardik Patel: "GUNS! VIOLENCE! BANDH! MOAR RESERVATIONS!" India: "We love you, Mulayam."

My advice to #HardikPatel: "Sudden success is a mirage, any success without hard work can't sustain".

While he had to be compared to other popular figures.
"I am the next Sardar Patel," says Hardik Patel. No, he won't be an Iron Man. More like Irony Man.
