The ruling TRS in Telangana today expressed dissatisfaction over the PMO postponing an appointment given to an all party delegation to be led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on the SC categorisation issue.

"We don't know what was the hurdle and why they had to postpone that...PM met some farmers who came from Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh capital) we also felt happy, we have no reason to find fault with that. We wish the same treatment to be given to us," said state deputy chief minister K Srihari said in New Delhi.

The Telangana government proposed to lead an all party delegation, headed by Rao, to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister to urge the Centre to take steps for categorisation of SCs.

The state government had said an appointment with the Prime Minister has been postponed to a later date.

The SC categorisation is being sought by certain outfits saying that they are not benefitting in the existing system of reservation and others.

The ruling TRS has been supportive of the NDA government at the Centre especially on demonetisation though the regional party did not have a pre-poll alliance with BJP.
