As the summer vacations are near the corner, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has geared up to tackle the summer rush. According to TTD Executive Officer D Sambasivarao, all works pertaining to arrangements will be completed by April 10.

“We have taken some decisions for the summer, including cancelling VIP break darshan except for protocol VIPs on weekends till June, cancelling advance reservation in accommodation for non-self donors, etc. Our aim is to provide darshan to pilgrims on the same day itself without much waiting,” said Sambasivarao while speaking to the media.

He further said that all the departments at the temple are ready to provide the best services to the pilgrims visiting during the summer vacation. Reportedly, Sambasivarao has instructed the Annaprasadam wing officials to come up with a separate action plan for preparation and supply of butter milk for the pilgrims for the next three months.

In his orders, the EO has also directed the engineering wing to erect four temporary sheds with 500 seating capacity, each for Divya Darshan and Sarva Darshan pilgrims with drinking and toilet facilities near Narayanagiri Gardens.

Instructions have also been given to keep the barbers available at the main and mini alyanakattas at Tirumala during the summer season. “Additional staff — as per the requirements by heads of departments — should be deployed to provide better services to pilgrims,” Sambasivarao said.

According to the reports, the EO has also instructed the Additional FACAO Balaji for digital auditing of Donor Management System to trace  deficiencies, if any. “Two new scanners should be placed at Alipiri check point immediately, as the summer vacation rush has already commenced,” the EO said.
