The Delhi Police's Special Cell today claimed to have arrested three people who were wanted in several cases, including murder.

The arrested have been identified as Yogesh (30), a resident of Delhi's Haridas Nagar, Parveen Kumar (25) and Praveen Kumar (33), residents of Palam Colony and Dwarka's Sector 12, respectively, the police said.

All the accused are members of the notorious Gaurav Jherera and Lagan Sharma gang, they said, adding that three pistols of 7.65 bore and 12 live cartridges have been seized from their possession.

With their arrest, three cases including one case of murder, one case of attempt to murder have been solved, a police officer said.

"A tip-off was received on August 10 that two notorious criminals of the Gaurav Jharera and Lagan Sharma gang namely Yogesh and Parveen Kumar, involved in some heinous cases, are hiding at different locations.

"It was informed that they will travel through the golf course road in Dwarka on a scooty. Police laid a trap and arrested them. Following the arrest, the third accused was also nabbed," the official said.

Police said that the accused wanted to increase their dominance in Delhi and were planning to commit further crimes.
