Bollywood actress Sunny Leone on Wednesday recorded her statement at the Thane police headquarters in connection with a recent obscenity complaint filed against her. The Dombivli Police station had registered a complaint on May 15 by Anjali Palan (30), a housewife who stated that while surfing the internet she found several obscene posts and pictures of the actress as well as "objectionable" material on the actor's website.

"We are still weighing the pros and cons of the case and cannot reveal details about her statement. Our task is basically to find out whether or not Sunny herself is facilitating those videos. The laws in US and India are different. She claims that she was a pornstar back in the US, but nothing illegal is being done in India now," said Inspector Jagdish Sawant of the Thane commissioners' office.

Sawant also believes that sometimes actresses do this just to get more publicity, but nothing can be said for sure. "We need to find the facilitator for the spread of these videos, so that it can be stopped," he said.
