Former Karnataka CM SM Krishna to join BJP: BS Yeddyurapa

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior politician SM Krishna who had resigned from Congress will join BJP soon, says state party President BS Yeddyurappa. He also said that he didn't know when the Congressman will join BJP.

"He (SM Krishna) has decided to join BJP, we don't know when, we will fix it soon. He is joining 100% (sic)," said Yeddyurappa.

Krishna had resigned from Congress on Saturday.

Krishna, who was the state Chief Minister from 1999 to 2004 and a former Maharashtra Governor, was reportedly miffed at being sidelined in the party, with which he has more than five-decades-old association. 

He had returned to the state in 2012 but had been maintaining a low profile in the last two years.
