The Station House Officer and an Assistant Sub-Inspector of East Delhi's Vivek Vihar police station were suspended and four other policemen were taken off duty after a photograph of Radhe Maa sitting in the SHO's chair emerged on Thursday.

In the September 28 photo, SHO Sanjay Sharma is seen standing with folded hands, right next to the seated self-styled god-woman. He is also seen wearing a red "chunri" on his uniform. A video on the official Facebook page of Radhe Maa showed the ASI singing next to her as other officers participated.

The SHO said in his defence that Radhe Maa had come to use the washroom and later sat in his chair. Sukhwinder Kaur alias Radhe Maa has been a controversial figure who likes the colour red, and carries a mini trishul.
In 2015, the Mumbai police declared her an absconder in an alleged case of dowry harassment.

An actress has also filed a criminal case against her.

"A preliminary inquiry found that it is a matter of professional misconduct. Further action will be taken after a detailed inquiry," said senior Delhi police official Nupur Prasad.

Four other policemen from GTB enclave Police Station seen singing in the video were identified as ASI Radhe Krishan, Head Constable Pramod, Constable Hitesh and Constable Ravinder. They have been sent to the district lines, which means they will not get any position or responsibility pending inquiry.

Radhe Maa had been invited for Ramlila celebrations in GTB enclave and Vivek Vihar area. Around midnight, she reached Vivek Vihar Police Station and sought to use its washroom.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on September 5 issued a notice against the Kapurthala SSP for failing to act on a complaint against her that she hurt religious sentiments.
