The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Sunday hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that its own allies like the Shiv Sena have started questioning the Centre, clearly showing the downfall of the government.

CPI leader D. Raja told ANI, ?It shows the growing resentment during Prime Minister Narendra Modi?s rule, because the Shiv Sena is a BJP ally and even its own ally has started questioning the Centre over its unfulfilled promises.?

Earlier in the day, the Centre was targetted by the Shiv Sena, which, in its mouthpiece 'Saamna', asserted that the BJP?s 'achhe din' are only limited to Government advertisements whereas the truth is different.

Questioning the decision of the Prime Minister Modi-led Union Government regarding demonetisation drive and Goods and Services Tax (GST), Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray was quoted by Saamna as saying that despite being a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ally, he won't hesitate speaking against the things which are not right.
