The Aligarh Muslim University has appointed prominent Shia cleric Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, the general secretary of Majlis-e-Ulema-e-Hind, as adjunct faculty at the institution.
Kalbe Jawad has been chosen as an adjunct faculty at the theology department, AMU registrar Javaid Akhter said.
The university has informed Jawad about his appointment and he is likely to commence teaching from August 1, the registrar said.
Jawad is also a senior member of All India Muslim Personal law Board.
