Ghalib Guru, the teenage son of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru, who was executed four years ago, today said the separatist leaders had failed in bringing back the mortal remains of his father.

"They (separatists) have failed to bring back the mortal remains of my father. Initially, they had promised to bring my father's remains back home, but with time, they have forgotten the promises they had once made," Ghalib told reporters on his father's fourth death anniversary.

Mohammad Afzal Guru was hanged to death and buried inside New Delhi's Tihar jail following his conviction in the 2001 Parliament attack case.

Ghalib said the separatists should pursue the issue of the return of his father's mortal remains with more vigour.
