Samjhauta blast: NIA says charge sheet final, mentions no links to LeT

NIA on Tuesday made it clear that its charge sheet in the Samjhauta train blast was final and the agency had found no links of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terror group to the 2007 incident in which 68 people, including Indians and Pakistanis were killed.

The anti-terror probe agency said reports appearing in the media that the agency would approach the Special Court in Panchkula with an assessment report of US agencies claiming the bombing was the handiwork of LeT was not correct. "We do not have any such report and NIA charge sheet in the case is final. There is no change in it," sources in the agency said. 

NIA has filed charge sheet against eight people including Naba Kumar Sarkar alias Swami Aseemanand, Sunil Joshi (deceased), Ram Chandra Kalsangra, Sandeep Dange and Amit (absconding), Lokesh Sharma, Kamal Chauhan and Rajender Choudhary in the case which is under trial.
