Home Minister Rajnath Singh has taken up the issue of the killing of RSS leader Ravinder Gosain with Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, former Punjab BJP chief Kamal Sharma said on Tuesday.
"Union Home Minister Singh has taken up the matter of the brutal killing of RSS leader Ravinder Gosain in Ludhiana with Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh," said Sharma in a release here.
Sharma claimed he had earlier taken up the issue with the Union Minister in Chandigarh.
Sharma said that Rajnath Singh spoke to Capt. Amarinder Singh during his visit to the Hussainiwala Border in Ferozepur today.
Rajnath Singh told the Punjab chief minister to get the matter thoroughly investigated in a speedy manner, Sharma said.
Two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants shot dead the senior Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader in the Kailash Nagar locality here today, the police said.
Gosain, 60, was returning home after attending a morning drill (RSS shakha) when he was attacked, they said. Gosain died on the spot and the attackers fled, police said.
