Tamil Nadu Crime Branch CID today announced a total cash reward of Rs four lakh to anyone who could provide information to nab two absconding suspects in the murder of Hindu Munnani leader C Sasikumar.

Investigation has pointed to the alleged involvement of B Sadham and A Mubarak, both based in Coimbatore in the right wing leader's murder, CB CID police said.

In an official release here, they said the duo had evaded them despite summons being served at their residences.

"They have not cooperated and did not appear for probe.

For information about each one of these suspects, a reward of Rs two lakh will be given," the release added.

Stating that the identity of the informants will be kept a secret, police appealed to the public to contact the CB-CID Control Room here or senior officials of Special Investigation Division in Coimbatore who are probing the case.

Sasikumar was hacked to death on September 22 last year in Coimbatore by suspected fundamentalists and following it incidents of violence were witnessed there.

Auditor' V Ramesh, Diabetologist Dr V Arvind Reddy, K Murugan (all BJP), S Vellaiyappan, KP Suresh Kumar (both Hindu Munnani - an RSS affiliate) were among the leaders of Hindu outfits killed in recent years in Tamil Nadu.

Police had formed several special teams to apprehend the culprits and had questioned over 500 persons and the probe is being done by the CB-CID.

Twenty nine year-old Syed Abuthahir was arrested last month by police for his alleged role in Sasikumar's murder.

Alleging that Tamil Nadu police had "failed" to nab the culprits, BJP national secretary H Raja had months ago urged the government to hand over Sasikumar case to CBI.
