Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje hailed the Budget. "I whole-heartedly support PM Narendra Modiji's vision and Finance Minister Arun Jaitleyji's agenda to transform, energize and clean India," she tweeted.

State BJP president Ashok Parnami also welcomed the Budget. "Reforms in taxation, clarity on political parties funding are some of the appreciable decisions," he said.

"It is a nationalist budget. Raising tax slab has provided relief to people.

State Congress chief Sachin Pilot said it's "unfortunate" that "no relief measures" have been announced in the budget.

"People were expecting a budget that could boost economy and pull it out of post-demonetisation effect but the budget has failed in attempt," he said.

Leader of Opposition Rameshwar Dudi also criticised the budget saying the state has been completely neglected parliamentarians.

President of Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI), Suresh Agarwal welcomed the Budget stating it is development friendly and beneficial in long term.

CPI (M) state wing termed the budget anti-poor and pro-capitalists.

President of Jaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ashok Dhoot said the budget is pro-development.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Congress gave a thumbs down to the Budget terming it "directionless, regressive and anti- development".

"Apart from being directionless, regressive, anti- development and harsh on the common man with its potential to give rise to inflation, the budget fails to address the concerns of Uttarakhand," Pradesh Congress Committee president Kishore Upadhyay said in a statement here.

He said the budget is silent on a green bonus to Uttarakhand which has long been demanding it in lieu of the state's contribution to environment protection.
