Recovery of a wireless set by a villager near the Indo-Pak border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir today triggered panic before it was found that the device belonged to the army.

"A wireless set was found lying in the fields by a farmer in Londi Samba belt in Samba," a BSF officer said.

It triggered panic in the border belt, he said.

Terrorists are known to be using wireless sets and security forces have recovered these devices from them umpteen times.

The device was handed over to BSF and on probe, it was found that army patrol party had lost the set and it is being handed over to them, officer said.
