Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday met family of visually impaired Border Security Force (BSF) Assistant Commandant Sandip Mishra who lost his eye sight during ambush in 2000.

In a touching gesture, the Home Minister visited the house of Mishra in the sprawling campus of the border guarding force.

Singh gladly accepted the request of the couple, who asked him to join them for lunch.

Sandeep lost his eyesight during a confrontation with the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militants in Assam's Tinsukia District in 2000.
