A day after the Rajasthan police and the Crime Investigation Department-Crime Branch (CID CB) removed the names of the six accused involved in the death of Pehlu Khan, a dairy farmer, an altercation took place between local groups and the police over the verdict.

Aman Ka Karvaan, led by Harsh Mander wanted to stage a protest at Behrore off the Jaipur-Delhi highway.

Mandar wanted to offer floral tributes at the spot where Pahlu Khan was allegedly beaten up and killed, but was refused permission by the local administration. He then went on to stage a dharna outside the DSP’s office

Local organisations then staged a counter protest following which, the police escorted Mandar out of Bahore.

Pehlu Khan, a dairy farmer from Nuh in Haryana, was attacked by a mob in Behror, when he was transporting cows purchased from Jaipur.

This The CID CB found that the six allegedly accused weren’t present at the location when Pehlu Khan was lynched.
