Was Infosys techie Rasila Raju under pressure and being harassed by her seniors at work?

According to a Mid-Day report, Rasila wasn't happy about working alone on a Sunday in office, but did so because she expected a transfer to the Bengaluru branch. She had also told her father that her boss held a grudge against her for refusing to join a team lunch and was putting additional work pressure on her.

Rasila's cousin Anjali Nandkumar said that in the last conversation that she had with her sister minutes before she was murdered, Rasila had said that her transfer depended on her submission. She then hung up the phone saying, "Someone is entering my work bay, I will call you back.”

Rasila was found dead on January 29 in her cubicle, her neck strangled with a computer cable. The next day, 26-year-old security guard Bhabhen Saikia was arrested by police, who later admitted that he killed Rasila after she rebuked him for staring at her.

ACP Vaishali Jadhav-Mane had said that the techie was working in the conference room on the ninth floor of Infosys's Phase-II campus whereas her two team mates were online from Bengaluru. "Her manager was trying to call her, but there was no response. He then called and asked a security guard to go and check, and when the security guard went to see her, the woman was found lying on the floor in an unconscious state in the conference room," the officer had said.
