The deadlock continues in the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) as the meeting of its executive committee and district office-bearers which was called by Ombudsman of RCA former justice Gyanshudha Mishra failed to resolved any issue.

The meeting reportedly witnessed fierce exchanges between people loyal to RCA President CP Joshi and presently suspended Lalit Modi.

Amin Pathan who was once a staunch loyalist of Modi had heated arguments with Mehmood Abdi, former deputy president of RCA.

Sources informed that the issue being discussed was removal of Modi from the Nagaur District Cricket Association which was raised by Pathan.

He demanded that Modi be removed so that the ban on RCA can be lifted by the BCCI. However, Abdi repeatedly argued against it.

The fracas forced Ombudsman Gyansudha Mishra to caution both the sides. She said instead of arguing with one and another, members should address their problems to her.

Later while speaking to media, CP Joshi said that he wanted the BCCI ban to be lifted as his main priority was to return cricket in Rajasthan.

The issue of suspension of RCA secretary RS Nandu was also taken up in the meeting, and Joshi and others presented their point of view.

Sources informed that Ombudsman Mishra heard this issue and will soon take a decision on it

Almost all office-bearers of the districts were present in the meeting. The lawyers from both sides were also present. They explained the points relating to legal issues during the meeting.

Notably to resolve the internal disputes of RCA, Ombudsman had called the meeting on Tuesday.
