No confirmation on death of 2 Keralities who joined terror outfits

The government has no confirmation on the death of two Keralites who allegedly joined terror groups last year, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said today.

"We have reports about the death of two persons from Kerala who went missing, but no confirmation on it," Vijayan told the state assembly during question hour.

He said it has come to the notice of the government functioning of banned outfits like IS and Maoists in the state.

Vijayan said at least 22 persons from the state were reported missing after they were attracted to terror groups like Islamic State.

The NIA is probing the cases registered in connection with this, he added.

Two Keralites, who allegedly joined terror groups were reported to have been killed in Syria and Afghanistan in air strikes by the US on April 29.
