PM will continue his normal routine despite fasting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday joined millions of devotees to welcome Goddess Durga on the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri.
The Prime Minister will observe fast on all nine days and will have just warm water, a Zee report said. PM Modi, an ardent Goddess Durga devotee, has been observing the Navratri fast for last four decades. The fast has never affected his busy schedule. In 2014, even during his first US visit, the PM observed his Navratri fast.
On Thursday, the Prime Minister wished everyone on the occasion of Navratri.

He also shared a prayer for Maa Shailputri, who is worshipped on the first day of Navratri.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to his Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency on Friday, during which he will inaugurate several infrastructure projects and address public meetings, officials said today. Varanasi District Magistrate Yogeshwar Ram Mishra said Modi would open the second phase of a trade facilitation centre for weavers and handicraft workers in Bada-Lalpur near here on September 22. The prime minister will dedicate to the nation a community kitchen ('Annakshetra') near the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple, Varanasi Divisional Commissioner Nitin Ramesh Gokarn said.
