Nashik police opens special routes and ghats for Kumbh Mela

The Nashik administration and police have made arrangements of separate routes and ghats to make it convenient for the pilgrims to take the holy bath at both places at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar during the Kumbh Mela.

The Nashik administration and police have made arrangements of separate routes and ghats to make it convenient for the pilgrims to take the holy bath at both places at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar during the Kumbh Mela.

The administration has also considered that lakhs of people will want to take the bath in the single given day, while making the arrangements.

All the pilgrims coming from outside Nashik can arrive by transport vehicles, either personal or government or railways upto a certain point.

Those coming by railway will be allowed Nashik road railway station where a new platform has been built for passengers coming especially by Kumbh Mela special trains. 

The new platform no 4 exits onto a bus bay which will carry passengers upto the inner parking at Sinner Phata, from where they can walk to Dasak Ghat.

Pilgrims traveling by road from Mumbai will be allowed into the outer parking area at Rajur Bahula, Villholi Jain temple. From here they can take a shuttle bus service upto the inner parking at Mahamarg bus stand. They can then cross the highway, Dwarka circle and Laxminarayan ghat by the Kannaamwar bridge on foot.

After the event, they can return to Mahamarg bus station and then take the shuttle bus service to outer parking.

Ghats and routes:

Laxminarayan Ramghat for devotees arriving from Mumbai and Trimbakeshwar.

Gauri Grounds for devotees arriving by foot / walk from Trimbakeshwar.

Nandur-Manur Ramghat for those arriving from Indore, Dhule via Agra Road.

Talkuteshwar Ramghat for devotees arriving from Dindori, Saputara

Nandur-Manur and Takli Sangam Ramghat for devotees arriving from Aurangabad.

Dasak Ramghat for devotees arriving from Pune and Railway station.

Gandhi Talao Ramghat for devotees arriving from Girnare, Dugaon, Peth.
 
Similar arrangements have been made for pilgrims at Trimbakeshwar.

Ghats at Trimbakeshwar:

Navnath Ghat for devotees arriving from Mumbai, Ghoti.

Ahilya Ghat for devotees arriving from Thane, Jawhar.

Acharya Sri Sri Chand Ghat for devotees arriving from Nashik, Girnare and Rohile.
