Mumbai: Wife kills husband by hitting him with paver stone during fight

A woman smashed her husband's head during an angry verbal spat over money matters causing to the instant death of the man, reports Mid Day. During the fight the woman too was hurt but is out of danger. She is admitted to Sion hospital.

Shafiq Khan, 56 and Halimunisa Khan, 48, had a fight on Friday over financial issues. During the fight Shafiq attacked his wife, following which she hit him with a paver stone. 

Shahu Nagar police have said that they initially suspected another family member to be involved, but Halimunisa confessed to the crime. They have been fighting regularly. But the fight on Friday had turned ugly. 

The police will arrest the Halimunisa after she is discharged from the hospital."We have registered a case against the woman under section 302 (murder) of IPC. Currently she is undergoing treatment at Sion hospital. Once she gets discharged, we will arest her," said Dilip Thorat, senior police inspector, Shahu Nagar.
