Chandigarh recorded its maximum at 36.2 degrees Celsius,
two degrees above normal while the city received rainfall of
0.4 mm, the MeT Department said.
Ambala and Hisar registered their maximums at 34.7
and 34.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
Mercury in Karnal and Narnaul settled at 34 and 32.5
degrees Celsius respectively.
Amritsar recorded 9 mm of rainfall and a maximum
temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius, two notched below normal,
it said.
Ludhiana registered a high of 34 degrees Celsius, while
Patiala recorded a maximum temperatures of 35.6 degrees
Celsius.
The weatherman has predicted rain or thunder showers at a
few places in Punjab and Haryana over the next two days.
