Maharashtra: Social media, famous actors used to woo voters this election season

Clippings from Sairat, Shaantaaabai and animated cartoons have become the promotional tools this election season. 

As candidates are trying to reach out to youth, they are effectively using social media and by creating videos from famous songs and movies. Interestingly, Sairat stars Rinku Rajguru (Archi) and Akash Thosar (Parsha) have become ambassadors of State Election Commission, and their popularity is being used to in crease voting percentage. Rinku and Akash being minors have appealed to young voters to exercise their franchise. 

A video which shows Archi asking Parsha to vote for Rohit Pande, an independent from Mumbai (ward number 227), has gone viral via WhatsApp. 

In the same way, siblings from Pimpri-Chinchwad Gadade-Patil have used effectively used item number Shaantabaai and made a video made on the lines of the song, to narrates the contribution of candidates of NCP. BJP has used animated tiger and lion with tiger symbolising Shiv Sena and lion representing BJP. The animated film shows how Shiv Sena Tiger has affected Mumbai.
