The death of a girl student on the CET campus in Thiruvananthapuram during the college’s Onam celebrations has prompted Kerala CM Oommen Chandy to stipulate guidelines for Onam celebrations in the state's colleges.
The Kerala government will be giving Rs.10 lakh as compensation to victim Tansi Basheer’s family. The accident has made the government aware of how Onam revelry in colleges across the state can lead to mishaps.
