Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today visited Rohini Sector-27 of Narela assembly constituency and reviewed the progress of the development work in the area.

He was accompanied by senior government officials and local MLA Sharad Chauhan.

According to an official statement, Kejriwal said that residents of the area had met him recently and demanded setting of a government school, mohalla clinics.

They had also complained about problems in the water supply pipeline.

"I have discussed the problems with my officers and have come back to you," he said.

On building a school, Kejriwal said that the building plan for the school has been passed and construction will start in six months and likley to take one-and-half-year to complete.

"I have asked your MLA to identify land for the mohalla clinic. If required, we will construct 2-3 mohalla clinics considering the population of the area. Once the land is identified, it will take 3-4 months to complete the clinics, the Chief Minister was quoted as saying in a statement.

Kejriwal also assured the residents that he will get the water pipeline problem rectified at the earliest.

The Chief Minister also explained the free surgery and free medical test scheme to the audience.

"We have launched a scheme for free surgeries for you in private hospitals if the queue in the government hospital is long and your operation is not being done within one month.

"You can now get operated at private hospitals and the Delhi government will pay for it. Similarly, if you have any medical test to be done and it is not available or for any reason it is not being done at the government hospital, you can now get it done from any private lab and the Delhi government will pay for it, he said.
