Pakistan based group 'Never Forget Pakistan' has launched an online campaign named 'What if you knew the Victim? #IndiaCantSee' in the wake of the recent Kashmir unrest that erupted after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen's Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces on July 8 in Anantnag district.

Even as curfew was finally lifted from the entire Valley except Anantnag town on Tuesday, the online campaign by Pakistani lawyer and activist Mohammed Jibran Nasir, along with artists Batool Aqeel and Murtaza Abbas has grabbed a lot of attention. Addressing the use of pellet guns by security forces against protesters, the series of photoshopped pictures depict celebrities with pellet wounds and details tragic tales of civilians at the receiving end of the "non-lethal" weapons.

The photo album consists of pictures of Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kajol, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Virat Kohli, Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Elaborating on the reasons behind doing the campaign the makers write, "We do not suffer from any misplaced sentiment of nationalism. We speak against abuses be it by any state or government including our own.. The stories in the letters are real. The names signed under the letter are real. Just the victim you see in the picture is not real. Why do we need to glamourize a tragedy in order for people to pay attention. Have we all become that numb?"

Talking to BuzzFeed, Nasir said, “We are just amplifiers, the voice we are amplifying is of the Kashmiri People. We are glad that Kashmiris have responded positively and we are able to add even an iota to their strength we would consider our work done.”

He also took to Twitter saying, "We request everyone to Tweet the #Kashmir pellet wound posters to the respective celebrities. Push them to speak."
