Karnataka CM should take serious action in IAS officer's death case Sadanand Gowda

Union Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation Sadanand Gowda on Saturday urged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take serious action in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Anuraj Tiwari?s death case.

?There have been continuous cases of harassment and ill behavior with the IAS officers. This is a serious issue as many officers even commit suicide or are found dead. When incidents of this nature happen it becomes the responsibility of the administration and the Chief Minister to boost the morale of other officers by taking stringent action,? Gowda told ANI.

Tiwari?s body was found on the roadside on Wednesday in Lucknow?s high security Hazratganj area.

The Karnataka, cadre IAS officer's body was found near the government guest house on Meera Bai Marg in Uttar Pradesh.

Tiwari was in Lucknow after a training programme at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.

Tiwari, an engineer by qualification, joined the IAS in July 2007.
