Protesters marching against killing of a youth from Tral in Pulwama and the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, including separatist Masarat Alam were fired upon by police.

A youth was killed and two others injured allegedly in CRPF firing on demonstrators in central Kashmir's Budgam district today, police said.
Three persons were injured when CRPF allegedly fired upon the protestors, who were protesting against the killing of two youths in an army operation at Tral in south Kashmir's Pulwama district early this week, they said.
The injured youth were rushed to a hospital here, where one youth identified as Suhail Ahmad Sofi succumbed to injuries. The other two youth are being treated upon, the police said.
A complete shutdown is being observed across the Kashmir valley on Saturday on the call of Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Geelani has called the bandh over the killing of a youth from Tral in Pulwama and the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, including separatist Masarat Alam.
All shops, businesses, government offices, schools and other establishments are closed and public transport is off the roads. The authorities have deployed police and CRPF jawans to stop any type of protest.
