The Mumbai police is on the look out for the self-styled 'godwoman' who has been charged with multiple crimes including dowry harassment. According to a report on Zee News, the self-styled godwoman has been absconding. The report claimed that she was hiding in a hotel in Aurangabad. “Mumbai Police searched Radhe Maa's house, but did not find her there,” report stated. There are worries that she could escape to Nanded from there.

Radhe Maa has been in the eye of the storm after a dowry case was filed against her and seven others. The woman who filed the case was quoted saying: “The woman was quoted saying: “My husband and in-laws used to say I had not got enough jewellery and cash from my parents.” She also said that she had been tortured. Her lawyer, Kshitij Mehta said the court wasn't taking cognizance of the matter, while senior inspector M Powar of Kandivali police station said an inquiry will be carried out in the matter. Another man named Surendra Mittal has claimed that the godwoman was harassing him and he claims to have the conversations on tape.  She was also accused of indecent behaviour by advocate Falguni Brambhatt who claimed that the god-woman reportedly allows her followers to kiss her and hug her.

Because of the criminal cases against her she was banned from the Mahakumb Mela in Nashik on August 29 by Dwarkapeeth Shankaracharya Swami Swarupanand. Mahant Gyandas, who also claims to be the president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad said, "The entry of pretenders is rising in the sacred arena of sadhus and mahants. Trikal Bhavanta, Radhe Maa, and Sachchidananda, who is a liquor professional, should be restrained from participating in the 'shahi snan' (sacred bath)."
