Indo-Pak armies exchange sweets on Pak's resolution day

The Indian and Pakistan army troops exchanged greetings and sweets on the occasion of Pakistan Resolution Day at Poonch district's Rawalakot Crossing Point and Mendhar Hot Spring Crossing Point, on Thursday.

The Day is celebrated across Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution passed on March 23, 1940 and adoption of its first constitution during the transition of the Dominion of Pakistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on March 23, 1956.

The sweets were exchanged at Poonch Rawalakot Crossing Point at 1130 hours to 1200 hours and Mendhar Hot Spring Crossing Point at 1130 hours to 1200 hours (IST) as per established drills in a congenial environment, a Defence spokesman said.

Greetings on the occasion of Pakistan Day were conveyed to the Pakistani people and Army by the Indian delegation, the official said.
