Hailing the Indian Army?s attack across the Line of Control (LoC) to counter terrorist operation from Pakistan, the defence experts on Wednesday said the armed forces are opening up in order to name and shame Islamabad.

The Indian Army has issued a video of the same, which was seen by defence experts as a measure to send a clear-cut message to Pakistan as well as to brief the media and people here about the actions being taken by them.

?This time, the Indian Army has decided to come out and brief the people about their actions so that Pakistan gets the message. Message is sent to Pakistan that you will be named and shamed,? Retd. Captain Anil Gaur told ANI.

Another defence expert Qamar Agha also echoed the same, suggesting that the video will handicap Pakistan from denying the attack as it did in the case of the surgical strike.

He also opined that such action would curb Pakistan?s intentions of dragging the youth of Kashmir into militancy by way of disrupting their ways of livelihood.

?It was an important step taken under a planned strategy. A clear message has been sent to Pakistan. Also, a video of the same was released due to pacify the people here. Also, it has reached to the people of Pakistan via social media. Because India knew the Pakistan Army would deny the attack, the same what it did with surgical strike,? Agha told ANI.

The Indian Army yesterday said that punitive fire assaults were being undertaken across the LoC to counter terrorist action from Pakistan.

In support of this, the army also issued a video, showing Indian troops destroying the Pakistani posts in Nowshera Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, which is said to have been conducted on May 9.

"The Pakistan Army has been providing support to armed infiltrators by engaging the Indian Army forward troops from their weapons emplacements and pill boxes closer to the LoC," Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) Major General A.K. Narula said in a press conference here.

He added that the recent action in Nowshera has caused damage to the Pakistan Army posts, which were supporting infiltration.

In recent days, the ceasefire violation along the LoC by Pakistan has increased considerably.

On May 14, the Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars along the LoC in Chiti Bakri area of Rajouri sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

On May 13, Pakistani troops pounded civilian areas and forward posts in Nowshera area with mortars, killing two civilians and injuring three.

The firing and shelling from across the border has affected over 10,000 people.
