INA veteran late Laxmi Indira Panda's grandson Babula Panda was suspected to have developed some neurological problems and was likely to remain in hospital for a few more days.

He was scheduled to be discharged today.

Found in an unconscious state beside a drain in Mancheswar of Bhubaneswar after he mysteriously disappeared for nine days, 30-year-old Babula was undergoing treatment at state run SCB Medical College and Hospital here for kidney related ailment for over a week.

"The patient (Babula) is completely cured of the kidney ailment and his mental status is found to be normal.

But we noticed he has difficulties in walking which could be due to neurological problems for which certain tests have been done," the medical college's principal Siddhartha Das said.

Babula's disappearance and his mother boarding a wrong train soon after he along with his parents were felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bhubaneswar on April 16 had triggered a war of words between ruling BJD and opposition BJP.

Modi had felicitated family members of at least 16 freedom fighters of the state.
