Housekeeping employee held for peeping into women's toilet

A 21-year-old housekeeping employee was arrested for allegedly peeping into a women's toilet in a private firm here, police said today.

Saurabh Vitkar, who is working in a housekeeping section of a private firm in Yerawada area, allegedly hid himself in on the lavatories of the ladies washroom and was peeping in the women's toilet yesterday, a senior police official said.

"On Thursday two female employee who had gone to the washroom, found someone peeping from one of the lavatories and immediately alerted the security guards. Subsequently the accused was caught and handed over to the police," he added.

A case under section 354 (C) (Voyeurism) of the Indian Penal Code was registered and Vitkar has been apprehended, said the official.
