SBI Youth for India Fellow Naman Bansal is trying to ‘break the monotony of cynicism’ that he sees around him. He has started this long journey through an initiative called 'Palak' for the students of Haripur Krishna Middle School in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. In association with the Aga Khan Rural Support Program, 'Palak' is Naman’s endeavour to make a difference to the lives of marginalised kids coming to the school.

“I am trying to sow the seeds of creativity in the minds of these young children and simultaneously provide them with some life skills and computer knowledge through the medium of story-telling,” says Naman, a native of Meerut. He encourages the kids to use the tools of painting, drawing, puppetry, etc. to communicate their thoughts. Naman helps them compile these ideas in a magazine, ‘Palak’ on a monthly basis.

To ensure a lasting impact even after the culmination of his 13-month fellowship with the school, Naman wants to scale up the school's infrastructure and arrange for a few laptops for the students. He is raising money on Ketto for the same.
