Demanding a judicial probe into the deaths, he termed as an eyewash, the formation of an enquiry committee by the government

He said Lt Governor Kiran Bedi should intervene and bring justice to the bereaved families.

If need be, the hospital could also be closed through an order of the Lt Governor` he said and demanded cash relief of Rs 25 lakh to each of the families of the deceased.

The three patients -- two women and a man -- had died at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute hospital yesterday, allegedly due to a sudden power failure when they were undergoing dialysis.

The administration had constituted a three member committee to go into the incident and also announced an ex-gratia of Rs five lakh to each family.
