Haryana, Chandigarh all geared up to celebrate Yoga Day

Haryana will celebrate third international Yoga Day tomorrow where chief minister, ministers, chief parliamentary secretaries and MLAs would be chief guest in district level functions.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would be the chief guest in district level function to be organised in Karnal and Minister of State for Food Karan Dev Kamboj would also be present on the occasion, an official spokesman said here.

Among the Ministers, he said that Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma would be the chief guest in district Mahendragarh, Finance Minister Abhimanyu in Hisar, Agriculture Minister Om Prakash Dhankar in Jhajjar, Health Minister Anil Vij in Ambala, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh in Gurugram and Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain in Panipat district.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kanwar Pal and Deputy Speaker Santosh Yadav would be the chief guest in Yamunanagar and Panchkula districts respectively.

In Union Territory Chandigarh, the Yoga Day celebrations will be held in Sector 17, where Punjab Governor and UT Administrator V P Singh Badnore will be the chief guest.

Union Health Minister J P Nadda and Chandigarh MP, Kirron Kher, will also be present on the occasion.

At this event here, around 3000 participants are expected to perform Yoga in accordance with the common Yoga protocol given by the Ministry of AYUSH.

Besides, the Yoga Day celebrations will also be held at Burail Jail here by Yoga Federation of India.
