The BJP in Gujarat is all set to counter the opposition’s social media campaign on development agenda ‘Vikas Gando Thayo Che’, which attracted many youth in the state.

BJP’s social media campaign, that will be launched soon, will focus on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contribution for Gujarat’s development. PM Modi is going to be the face of BJP for Gujarat’s assembly elections in December.

The party leaders, including union ministers Arun Jaitley and Nirmala Sitharaman, met Gujarat Chief Minister and other BJP leaders, on Monday, to discuss the media and social media campaign at party’s headquarter in Gujarat ‘Shri Kamalam’.

A senior party leader said, “The Gujarat BJP has decided to pitch in positive campaign. Of course, the social media campaign will be counter to ‘Vikas Gando Thayo che’. Although it will be designed in such a way that it will not make any counter attack on Congress, it will be a fresh and innovative social media campaign.”

“We are going to focus over the campaign based on the details divulged by party chief Amit Shah during his Yuva Townhall programme held on Sunday in Ahmedabad. He had instructed the party’s leaders to design a powerful social media campaign from the statistical data. We are going to interprete it as positive campaign,” said the leader.

During last polls, BJP had coined the campaign titled as ‘Gujarat ne Kendra No Anyay’(center’s injustice towards Gujarat) but this time it will be totally reverse campaign and it would be center’s contribution to Gujarat. After meeting the leaders, Arun Jaitley addressed media persons said, “The BJP in Gujarat has started its preparations for the upcoming Assembly polls. I and Nirmala Sitharamanji met Gujarat CM and the core team of BJP to prepare the election strategy. Since both of us have worked for the polls in Gujarat, we are going to make efficient social media campaign and the same on mainstream media.”

“Since BJP has been ruling in Gujarat for many years and Gujarat model has remained very popular in other states too, we are going to focus on that. There is an atmosphere of trust among the voters for BJP led government and party’s roots are very deep here,” added Jaitley.
